Matt, I didn’t want to put you through any more hoops until the issue of the audited financials was worked out.  Once Natalie from CJDS talked to our financial person and explained that religious schools don’t have to be audited, that issue went away, to my pleasant surprise.

SO…back to the technical issue.  What you have sent looks like the proposal from Hanna, but doesn’t go that one last step to show expected bill credit from SCE&G based on the difference between what they pay under rate 22 and what they will receive based on anticipated generation.  That’s what is needed to fill in the payback period on the application.

I wonder if it would be helpful to have you come in and sit down with our tech folks and walk through what’s going on, what needs to be shown, etc.  Could you do that?

Hi Trish,

Does this work for the technical analysis for the Jewish Day School?

Hi Matt.  I’ve tried to call you twice and both times your phone has gone to busy signal right away, rather than voice mail.  Hopefully this means you’re busy, and not that your phone VM is malfunctioning, but wanted you to know about it.  Susie called me this morning, apparently in the middle of something else, and asked me to call you so you could arrange for the accountant at the school to call our finance person to get a better understanding of what is needed—in case the school and/or synagogue has something audited and it is being lost in translation.  The representative of the school should call Ann Harmon, 803-737-9124, and discuss what the school has vs what we need.  If it would be helpful for you to listen in on the conversation, feel free.

Trish

Hi we are replacing t -12 standard ballast fixtures with a t-8 electronic ballast system— each replacement fixture saves us approximately 86 watts per hour-or about 10 cents per hours—which means a savings of about 400.00 a year. Best, Meir

Hey Rabbi Mueller, this is Susi Wolfson and I am working with Matt Warren on the ConserFund application for the school. We need to know how to calculate the annual projected savings that will be generated by replacing the old lights with the new LED lights in the old wing. Can you tell me what kind of lights were replaced by these new LED lights and any other info you may have about this upgrade?

Thanks,

Sorry Matt—last week was insane.  I have put the question to our financial folks about whether they can use what you sent instead of audited financials.  Meanwhile, we haven’t yet seen the technical assessment…the numbers on the lighting, and the solar.  Or did you send and I missed it?  For the lighting we will need to see what they are replacing, what the new lights will be, what the change in energy usage will be…that sort of thing.  If there is a lighting contractor involved he/she should be able to pull that together quickly.  Make sure they are accurate regarding hours of use—if the basis for the estimated savings is crazy, we’ll go back to the applicant for confirmation that those are really the hours of operation.

Hi Trish,

Hope you are having a great week. Just following up on this email from last week. I really need to get this Conserfund loan finalized for the Jewish Day School. Please let me know what the best way to do this would be. I was also able to get some energy conservation measures rolled into the project. They would like to change out 15 light fixtures to LEDs at $150 each. This is my first application and would appreciate any help getting this finalized..

Thank you

Matt

Hi Trish,

Happy Friday! Please find attached their past three years financials. They do not have an audited set, but are very solid in growth and their finances. You will see that in the numbers. Please let me know your thoughts.

Best regards,

Matt

We typically like to get 40%.  20% will not cover all equipment.  If they are willing to pay, we can definitely move forward.  Just needs to be clear that if for some unforseen reason, the project is not approved through the utility or there are any upgrade cost from an interconnection standpoint that the risk is on the Day School.

Hey Mark,

We are presenting Mike Arnold the idea of putting a deposit down to you guys so that we can keep the ball rolling while we wait on the Energy Office loan.

What is minimum amount that we can work out so that Hannah can start ordering equipment?  They are trying to have panels up as close as they can to the start of school so that they can market them with the new building. Can we do something like 20% down please?
