Doug,

We need to factor in 35 feet of boring, going from the garage to the natural area under asphalt. We also need to factor 300 feet of conduit run from the ground mount to the meter.

I have a preliminary sketch of his garage, but we need to get the design team to lay in out so we can price it.

Hi Matt, Since I sent you the info may dad had a big medical issue and I’ve been in Houston since. He’s out of ICU now and working on a rehab plan.  When I get back home I’d like to meet you at the house.

A couple of thoughts in advance:

1) I’m very surprised the garage roof won’t work, I’d like to revisit that.  I’ve watched the sun and shadows on the garage and from 10am to 4pm it’s fully in the sun.  I think we’re missing something there.  The winter is a different story.

2) I really like the ground mounts and would consider taking some trees but want to know how far we’d need to cut back.

3) What is the maximum kW we can install?

Thanks,

Walter

Hey Walter, good morning. These small ground mounts combined would offset about half of your annual usage for power. The garage gets too much shading in the summer to make the panels work there.
Would you be open to extending these ground mounts over to the east a little more? Please let me know your thoughts. Feel free to give me a call. Remember that the tree removal project could be part of this solar project and you can take advantage of the tax credits for that work as well. Thanks Walter!
