Hi Frank,
Below is our year 2015. It was $4924.72.
The big energy consumer is the 5 HP pool water circulation pump. It alone will consume around $350 month if let to run continuously. Ours runs continuously.
Our pool closes at dark so the Cabana lights are almost never turned on. Also, we never turn our underwater pool lights on so as not to encourage swimming after dark. Finally we do not turn on our electric water heater.
There are three big potential energy savings opportunities:
· Install timer on pool pump motor to cycle it off and on during pool closed hours and days. Today it runs continuously.
· Install a variable speed pump motor and controls to reduce the pump speed and energy consumption during pool closed hours and days.
· Install piping to allow pool to be completely drained and pump motor turned off during the pool closed season.
As we approach our pool closed season we are investigating modification we could make to reduce the electric bill. Running the pump 24/7 is just nuts.

If you can, I need a copy of the Electric bill on the on the pool and cabana.. I’m looking at future cabanas we build and existing ones, the go with solar panels… Pay the most of the power needed or all…
Is that something you could do for me??
