Matt,

Did you start your own solar distribution  and installation company? I thought I heard that. Are we your first customer?

Per your request.

I entered an account number on Interconnection Request in middle of page if I should not have please advise and I can resend. I also did not put any system info on Residential Application Form. Not sure what they were looking for. That will be up to you.

Please open the links below and fill in the customer information on the forms provided. After filling in the forms and signing in the customer signature areas please email them back to me and I will send them to SCE&G along with the check for the intervention fee (My company pays the fee). The warranty I provide is a 5 year roof and workmanship warranty on all the areas that we install solar panels. The reason for the 5 years and not more is the age of the roof. If it was a new roof then we would provide 10 years. All the equipment carries their own warranty. That warranty is listed on their websites but I can tell you it is 25years.

Below should answer most if not all of your questions. If you have anymore please feel free to call or email me. I look forward to helping you with this project.

Hi Staglianos,

Good morning. Last week I was asked through my Master Gardener group if I wanted to volunteer to lead a group to replant at Harvest Hope this fall.  I was proud to tell them that I had a part in the installation and would be more than willing to quarterback that project! Such fun for a wonderful cause. Funny how things come full circle.

Just wanted to check in with you guys and see if we can start getting your application in to SCE&G to keep the solar project rolling along. I appreciate your patience with us finding the right solution for your home. Jamie and I will take great care of you. All we need is an initial on the paperwork and we can get things rolling. If I can answer any question, please don’t hesitate to call.

Thanks so much and hope you have a great weekend!

Matt

Dear Matt, Sorry we have been out of touch. Both of our parents have serious health issues that have consumed all of our time. We are good to go on the solar project! Just let us know what we need to do to move ahead.

Alright John. You ask and you shall receive!!! I found a local installer who
is very reputable in the area agree to install your system at $3.37 per
watt. He is actually the guy who helped me install my solar array at our
home. He will install 285 watt Solar World panels which will provide a
little more offset for you as well.

Between the reduction in my commission and desire to capitalize on the
opportunity to do MANY more homes in your neighborhood, I believe we have
found a solution that would work.

Please allow me the opportunity to earn your business. Best regards,
Matt

He is correct it is a numbers game and when there are thousands of homes all around him still willing to pay the going rate why would we cut the price for him? sounds like a bit of a gamer for sure:)

I will call my accountant today because I was waiting on her to give me the skinny on what these tax credits really mean for me. Secondly, I am not looking for you to cut your commission. The bottom line for us is the output for that price point is disappointing. If the price was falling between $3 and $3.50 per watt it would be a simpler decision on on ROI. If Corp wants to break into a virgin neighborhood like Pine Forest with over 800 homes with us being the first I would think they would do what ever they needed to do that made sense to them from a business perspective to open this opportunity. That is my point. $500 dollars isn’t going to make this deal happen if numbers don’t meet my expectations. For me it is simply a numbers game. I assume it is for corporate as well. I will get back to you soon. Please resend last proposal, I am away at beach and last proposal is on my desk top at home and if you want to send proposal with higher out out panels please do. I assumed these were top of line panels we were looking at since we are looking for best ROI.

> 1) The offset did come down a little bit due to having to remove a few panels along the sides to stay within the HOA boundaries. If you would like for me to look at installing the highest watt panel possible, that is economically feasible, I will be glad to get the design guys working on that. Then, we can get the offset up and see what is possible. The price point is the most economical with the 280 watt panels, but they make LG 375 watt panels, which are really slick and would generate more power. They are a little more pricey per watt as compared to the 280 watt, but if you would like for me to run the numbers, it wouldn’t be a problem. This solution works well when we have space as our limiting factor.
>
> 2) As for “Sharpening my pencil”… Please note that all pricing is handled though our corporate design team and this is mostly out of my control. With that being said, I have been know to cut my commissions for close friends and family in order help spread the word and earn the business. I do not believe in being the “cheap guy on the street”…..and as you can tell, this is not a mom and pop, three guys and a truck operation. We believe in quality and doing the job right. Here is how I can sharpen my pencil….after the panels are installed, I will personally write a check out of my commissions for $500 if you allow me to earn your business. There will not be anyone who will work harder for you and be there for the long run for support going forward. I need your business.
