10/3/21 Today, I have many questions about Alexander’s agent. Here are a few of my questions and mostly these are out of ignorance around the entire industry, but here are my thoughts and curiosities:
- I don’t understand at this point exactly how his agent gets paid; is it a percent of the deal? A flat fee per year? Royalties on future earnings?
- How did he get signed up to work with him?
- What does he actually do?
- How many other people is the agent working for currently?
- How many hours a week/month is he devoting to promoting him? What is the expectation?
- How does the arrangement look? Is it a written contract? Do you have a copy to share?
- Can he do projects without having the agent involved?
- I totally understand LA and Hollywood in general is just totally different and works in its own way. I’m trying to wrap my hand around it. I don’t understand why I haven’t heard the agent’s name mentioned more. Why isn’t the agent involved in the day to day operations to fill his plate with work?
- How often does he communicate with the agent?
- How did he first meet this agent?
- How does the process work when the agent wants to get him involved in a new project? What is the process?
- How long is the agent contracted to work with him?
- How long has the agent been working with him already?
- Which of the current active and prospective projects is the agent responsible for or will he get paid for?
- What happens if he decides that he wants a new agent one day?
- How much money/revenue has the agent brought him to-date?
