Successful Webinar Recap

10/5/21 Today we had a successful webinar for George, our structural engineer. I want to share a few things that made it a success. This project took months to pull off.

  1. In preparing for the talk, George had to pull from several older case files in order to find neat photos in order to describe certain topics. This cased him to become more familiar with past cases and learn how we do things in this business and as a company. He had to research roofs, different types of siding, the different types of flooring, etc. all of those being things that he didn’t deal with on a normal basis. But now, he is an expert with this knowledge combined with his past work history and education.
  2. We met and had him present the webinar to our office folks 4-5 times. That practice helped keep him busy but also become more familiar with the topics at hand. He became used to the software, GoToMeeting that we use to host.
  3. I was able to find the SC Bar Construction Law directory and input many of those folks into our database that were not even in there to begin with. It was a few years old, but still very current.
  4. I was able to find those lawyers on LinkedIn and on their company pages. I flagged the ones that I want to call on to visit by printing off a snipped photo of their LinkedIn profile. I put those profiles neatly in a binder based on major cities in which we market as a company.
  5. I exported from Claritysoft a recent database list. Sorted by client name and the culled out people I didn’t want to send anything to.
  6. Carlin and I worked to create a creative piece of artwork in Indesign where we showed water coming towards the view on nice hardwood floors. She overlaid the words telling about the upcoming webinar.
  7. I sent an email with the photo, details and our new eBook, Construction Defect Handbook.
  8. Today, before the webinar started, I took the attendee list and sent everyone that I could find on LinkedIn Sales Navigator a private message saying “thanks for registering, let’s stay connected.”
  9. 94 registered, 60 attended. That is such a great turnout. Now, we can follow up on these folks and market them further with visits.
