5 Proactive Outbound Prospecting Calls per Day

Give me 5-mins a day for two weeks – that is 50 mins over 10 days; that is just 5 proactive outbound prospecting calls a day.

After listening to the Jeb Blount podcast, I am taking his advice. I want to set a new habit for 2021 of making calls to promote Jennifer’s expertise each day. I have a list of 400+ people. I want to make 5 calls as early as I can each morning.

I must schedule proactive, outbound sales calls into my day. Mark Twain says “if you’re gonna eat a frog, you might as well eat it first thing in the morning ’cause it’s not gonna taste any better later in the day.”

I must do it first thing in the morning at 8am, 8:30, 9am by 10am you want to be long done with this. Now, I am already going to tell you that today is January 9th, 2021 and I have not made 5 calls each day. I have excuses to are somewhat legit, but I am making a committment to do better. These calls are hard to do. Eating a frog is hard to do. I must get in the habit, and communicate this new habit to my boss and Jennifer. I want my habit to be

  1. Record Podcast – normally on the way to work, after breakfast
  2. Layout Journal- layout grids, what time I woke up and morning habits
  3. 10th Step – 3 good things and 3 bad things from the last 24 hrs
  4. My GPAs
    1. “G”- Gratitude List – listing 10 things that I am grateful today
    2. “P” – Prayer List – writing down a minimum of 3 things I am praying for
    3. “A”- Affirmation List – writing down a minimum of 3 things to affirm me
  5. Do the Numbers
    1. Time Tracking
    2. Spending Journal
    3. Spending Plan
    4. Net-worth Calculating – put at top right of page + track over time
    5. Everydollar – putting the last 24 hrs of Everydollar app
  6. Blog Post – writing a quick blog post
  7. Check Calendar- a conscious effort to glance over the days schedule
  8. Make 5 Outreach Calls to Prospects
