You have submitted a request under South Carolina Rider Net Metering, which stipulates the requested kWAC capacity cannot exceed the lower of the Electric Service Agreement Contract Demand value or 1,000 kW.  The Application’s requested capacity is greater than the Electric Service Agreement Peak Demand of 238  kW, thus we are unable to accept the Interconnection Request. You may also consider the revising the project to a Sell-All/Purchase Power.   Please resubmit a revised Interconnection Request.
If you choose to withdraw the project, please advise and reply to this notification.    Thank you for submitting your Interconnection Request.

Okay here is where we are right now. With the 1000A panel, we are limited to connecting 4x30kW inverters (120kW AC). In order to increase the size bac to the originally proposed 287W DC, we will have to connect upstream which could potentially be a high cost depending on what is there. Drew is requesting pictures between the panel and the meter and again around the meter to see what could hinder or drive up the cost of connecting upstream.

Let me know how you’d like to proceed, either with additional photos or the limited 120kW AC?

Just out of curiosity, what is the annual usage for this customer? What percentage does either system offset?

Thanks,

Elizabeth Davis

There is plenty of space as you can see in those photos to connect. We could come into the 1000A panel.

Yes, it is 3 phase 240 v. Only waiting for insurance now.

Matt,

I’m attaching the SLD request form with a few clarifications as to what we’re looking for in each cell. This is what Drew and I are used to seeing with these request forms, hence the confusion with the ‘287’W panels.

Drew and I will work out the panels, but we will not be able to correctly size the system until we have clarifications to where we are tying in. Here are the details again:

–          Are we connecting into the 200A panel? Or is there another larger one to connect to? We will be limited in size if 200A is the way.

–          Please confirm it is 3 phase 240V.

I will keep a look out for the insurance and W9 information. Once we have these documents and the clarifications on the electrical service, we will be good to go.

Thanks,

Elizabeth Davis

This is the most recent helioscope. We had 325 w panels. I would think to just put the equivalent watt panels so the kW is near the same and we can keep his proposal near the same that we presented, $623,110. I am going to lean on you guys for panels details.

Let me know if we can help. Looking forward to getting this submitted tomorrow once we have the insurance and W9 info.

Thanks

Matt,

Can you clarify some details for me?

Modules: We are no longer using CentroSolar modules (unable to acquire). Our go to is Jinko Solar at the moment. With that being said, I don’t believe a 287W module exits.

System Size: 884 modules at a 287W rating is roughly 254kW system but the SLD  request shows a total nameplate of 210kW DC. Just want to clarify it is 210 kW AC we are going for?

Electrical System: We will be quite limited with the system size if we are tying into the 200A panel. Is there another panel we would be connecting to? Also just wanting to confirm it is a threephase 240V system.

Let me know as soon as possible and I’ll push this through.

Thanks,

Elizabeth Davis

Unfortunately it is not that easy – there are a lot of missing details we still need before this is ready for submission.

Details needed on Application:

–          Contact Name

–          Title

–          Email Address

–          Phone

–          Fax

–          Account #

–          Array details ( I will fill in with SLD details)

Additional Documents:

–          Proof of Insurance

–          Form W-9 (needed for rebate in Carolinas territory so I’m not sure its required for Progress but better safe than sorry)

–          Single Line Diagram

The SLD must be stamped by a licensed PE. The attached SLD Request Form must be filled out with the system and electrical service details. Complete and send this back to me and I will request the SLD.

Once I have all these details, then I will be able to submit to Duke Energy.

Don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions.

Best,

Elizabeth Davis
