Carl Horn, Congratulations! Your solar installation has passed the SCE&G solar equipment inspection. An order has been placed for a bi-directional meter to be installed that will enable you to start receiving credit for energy sent back to our system. There will also be a meter equipment installation inspection done before new meters are set. Please allow approximately 10 business days, weather permitting for this meter to be set. Important: The meter currently installed on your home is not bi-directional and records both normal usage and energy generated as usage. Until the bi-directional meter is installed, you will be charged (not credited) for energy sent back to our system. To avoid extra charges, we recommend leaving your solar installation in the “off” position until your bi-directional meter is installed. A door hanger will be left by our technician once your bi-directional meter has been installed. Thank you, SCE&G Renewable Energy Team

Thank you. However, SCE&G still needs to inspect, then install their meter, and activate the system… as does your meter, yet to be installed. In addition, exposed copper ground wiring in the front section needs to be rerun, caps placed on the end of the support brackets, and the grey conduit running up the side of the house painted. This has been coordinated with Matt Warren and the installer team. So there is still a fair amount of work and several weeks before we are up and running. We shall gladly make our final payment when all work has been completed and the system is running. Please give us a call if you have questions about that.

hello, Matt. i just had shoulder surgery so am not quite myself…if my last email appeared somewhat terse.
unless lost in the ether world, I need an updated Request for Interconnectivity which reflects the 300 watt system, to sign electronically. SCEG sent me back for my records the original 60 watt request. maybe you can clarify…maybe it’s the percocet.
as stated I also need rcpts from Vision Solar for our payments.
thnx much. carl typing with left index finger!!

Hello, Matt. Nice talking w you. Sorry to bother you on vacation. Couple of concerns:
1. After initial installation, I had to ask and remind Utah Office about the second payment. They had not sent me an invoice. The first payment by us was submitted only after a verbal from you. No invoice and At $70k, your HQs needs to send these. We have also not received receipts for these payments. Need those as not only as the proper way of doing business but as proof for tax credits.
2. You need to send me the correct/updated version of the request to SCE&G. It was the one I signed electronically and reflects the incorrect number and type of panels. Don’t think the SC&G rep realizes this.
3. Still no word from the county inspectors. Please have someone check on that.
Thanks very much.

To “NEM”:
It appears that SCE&G was not provided the current plan with the 300 watt panels. Can you please take care of this with SCE&G. Can you also tell us the status of the county inspectors’ visit?
Thanks very much.

Carl Horn, Thank you for your recent submission of Application to Interconnect to SCE&G. Your application was recently put through a technical review and unfortunately, has been denied for the following reason(s): · The single-line diagram portrays 58 LG300 panels and M250 micro-inverters; the application and program application seem to portray 67 SILFAB 260 W panels and M215 micro-inverters (as shown on the supporting product information documents). Please clarify which system is used. Please contact your installer to discuss and resubmit any necessary amended documents (single line diagram, amended application if necessary, etc.) and we will gladly continue to process your application. Thank you, SCE&G Renewable Energy Team
